Kojo Peprah Oppong, a 22-year-old Ghanaian central defender for Nice, is the subject of growing interest during this transfer window. Burnley from the Championship and Trabzonspor from the SüperLig are reportedly prepared to make an offer. An unnamed Ligue 1 club and other European teams are also interested in the player.
While Nice's preference is to keep the defender, who has a contract until 2029, the club is considering all options due to a need for liquidity. A sale of Oppong could bring in between 10 and 15 million euros for the French club. In the 2025/2026 Ligue 1 season, Oppong made 29 appearances and scored one goal, and he has 6 caps for Ghana. Nice bought the defender from Norrköping in July 2025 for a reported fee of €2.5 million. Everton reportedly made an offer of approximately €8 million in October 2025.
