Bristol City are reportedly interested in Ipswich Town's English full-back Harry Clarke, who is expected to leave the club this window. At the end of the season, Ipswich exercised a one-year option on the 25-year-old's contract with the intention of gaining a fee for the former Arsenal player, rather than for him to play in the Premier League.

According to BBC Sport, Bristol City see Clarke as a potential replacement for Ross McCrorie. McCrorie is attracting interest from other Championship clubs and from clubs in Europe. Bristol City could face competition from Charlton Athletic, where Clarke had a successful loan spell last season. Another of his former loan clubs, Sheffield United, may also have an interest. The former England U17 international made 19 appearances and provided 2 assists in the Championship last season. Leicester City have also been linked with the defender. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.50m.
