Brighton & Hove Albion could renew their interest in Bailey Rice, a 19-year-old Scottish midfielder at Rangers whose contract is set to expire in the summer of 2026. Brighton's interest in the player began during his time at Motherwell, and Manchester City also had a similar interest in the past. Contract negotiations between Rice and Rangers did not lead to an agreement. Aston Villa, Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion, and Cardiff City have all checked on his availability.
Rangers manager Danny Rohl has suggested that a decision on Rice's future will be made by the club after he returns from his injury. Rice became a Rangers player in July 2024 and has been capped 16 times for Scotland at the U19 level. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €800k.
