Brentford tracks Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber

The Premier League club is reportedly looking to the Eredivisie for a potential transfer.

Brentford is tracking Quinten Timber, a 24-year-old Dutch former captain of Feyenoord. It is said that the Premier League club is looking to the Eredivisie for a controlling midfielder to be a central part of their long-term future, and this search is connected to the anticipated departure of Vitaly Janelt. Timber is considered a suitable candidate, although he is naturally more suited to an attacking midfield role. PSV's Joey Veerman was also mentioned as a possibility.

Timber has an expiring contract and has not yet provided clarity on his future, despite facing increasing pressure from Feyenoord fans and coach Robin van Persie. The midfielder, who joined Feyenoord in July 2022, has 8 caps and one goal for the Netherlands. In the current Eredivisie season, he has scored 2 goals and provided 3 assists in 15 appearances. According to Transfermarkt, Timber has a current market value of €25.00m. Fenerbahçe, Borussia Dortmund, and Arsenal are among several other clubs that have also been linked with him.
