Brentford and Rangers are interested in Blackburn Rovers right-back Ryan Alebiosu. Alebiosu is a 24-year-old Nigerian international who also holds English citizenship. He joined Blackburn last summer from KV Kortrijk for a fee of around £500k. He scored one goal and provided five assists in 39 Championship games last season. In the winter, a €5 million bid from Genoa was rejected. Everton and Wolfsburg were also monitoring him by January.
The interest from Brentford and Rangers is in addition to interest from Italian and German clubs. Pete O'Rourke had reported on the interest from Italian and German clubs a couple of days ago. Both clubs sent scouts to watch the defender in a pre-season game, but he was absent due to a bug. Brentford are reportedly seeking another option for Michael Kayode. Alebiosu's contract includes an option for an extra year. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €1.50m.
