AFC Bournemouth has identified Evan Ndicka as a priority target to strengthen their defense with a player who can provide solidity and leadership. The 26-year-old Ivorian international is viewed as an ideal candidate to help the club improve. The English club has internal interest, but no official offer has been submitted yet.
His current club, AS Roma, which he joined in July 2023 on a free transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt, may need to consider sales during the next transfer window because of UEFA's financial fair play regulations. Although Ndicka's contract runs until 2028, a departure is possible if a satisfactory offer is made. The defender, who earns 5,130,000 euros per year, is valued at approximately 35 million euros, but Roma hopes to secure a fee closer to 40 million euros. The centre-back has 27 caps for Ivory Coast. Several other clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and FC Barcelona, have also been linked with the player.
