Borussia Mönchengladbach interested in Dunkerque winger Gessime Yassine

The French-Moroccan winger has attracted interest from several clubs ahead of a potential transfer.

Gessime Yassine, a 20-year-old French-Moroccan winger for Dunkerque, has attracted interest from several clubs, including Borussia Mönchengladbach. Competition for the player comes from German clubs Werder Brême and the Red Bull group, and from Villarreal in Spain. AS Monaco and RC Strasbourg from Ligue 1 are also pursuing Yassine. Separately, Africafoot has revealed that Lille and OM are interested. A concrete approach was also made from Saudi Arabia.

However, Yassine's priority is reportedly the sporting project, with a preference for Ligue 1. Negotiations have begun between the interested clubs, and a resolution is expected in early January. The transfer fee could reach 6 million euros, which is his value on Transfermarkt, due to competition between French and German clubs. Yassine joined Dunkerque in January 2024 and his contract with the club runs until June 2027. The Morocco U20 international has 16 caps and 4 goals. He also has 1 goal and 6 assists from 12 Ligue 2 appearances this season. A report states that Dunkerque would likely ask for a fee greater than €6 million.
