Borussia Dortmund could try to sign German-Italian centre-forward Nicolò Tresoldi again in the summer. The club was reportedly interested in the 21-year-old two years ago when he was at Hannover 96. The club's interest may be linked to the potential need for a new centre forward, as Serhou Guirassy's departure in the summer is considered likely. Concrete enquiries about a summer transfer have already been submitted to Tresoldi's current club, Club Brugge. Borussia Dortmund is not the only club pursuing him, as the player has reportedly attracted interest from other top Bundesliga clubs and from other attractive European clubs.

A transfer is not expected to be inexpensive, as Tresoldi's contract in Belgium is valid until 2029. Tresoldi joined Club Brugge in July 2025 and has 11 goals and 3 assists in 28 Jupiler Pro League appearances this season. The German U21 international has 22 caps and 10 goals, and a current Transfermarkt market value of €10.00m. In addition to the clubs already mentioned, Milan and Strasbourg have also been linked with the player.
