According to Ben Jacobs, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Aston Villa were among several Premier League clubs considering a move for Igor Tyjon, an 18-year-old Centre-Forward with English and Polish citizenship. The same report suggested Arsenal was most actively pursuing a potential transfer, while Italian clubs Atalanta and Monza were also interested. The interest from multiple clubs was due to the expectation that the player would become a free agent after he previously rejected a contract extension from Blackburn Rovers. Tyjon has 5 caps and 3 goals for England's U18 team.

However, Blackburn has since extended the player's scholarship agreement for a third year, and his contract now expires on June 30, 2026. This extension prevents him from leaving for a minimal training compensation fee this summer and improves the club's negotiating position. Reports from February 2026 indicated that Blackburn valued the player at £2 million and had rejected a bid from Arsenal of over £1 million.
