Beşiktaş and city rival Galatasaray are two Süper Lig clubs interested in signing 29-year-old South Korean international Min-jae Kim from Bayern Munich. It is said that scouts from both Turkish clubs recommended the defender multiple times during the winter. The player is under contract until 2028. Kim is considered a candidate for departure. He has reportedly shown little willingness to leave his well-paid contract.
According to reports, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and AC Milan also continue to be interested in the player. The centre-back has been capped 75 times for South Korea, scoring four goals. In the current Bundesliga season, he has made 15 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist. Bayern Munich signed Kim from Napoli in July 2023 for a fee of €50 million. His current Transfermarkt market value is €25 million, and reports from early 2026 claim Bayern would demand approximately €50 million for a potential transfer.
