FC Bayern München are interested in Hamburger SV's 33-year-old German-Portuguese goalkeeper, Daniel Heuer Fernandes, due to uncertainty about Manuel Neuer's future. It is reported that the club is seeking an experienced keeper to support Jonas Urbig if Neuer decides to retire. Heuer Fernandes' contract situation is seen as favorable for Bayern because he and Hamburger SV have not yet agreed on an extension to his deal, which runs until 2027. If contract negotiations fail, Hamburg would be willing to sell their main goalkeeper this summer to receive a transfer fee.
It has also been reported that clubs from abroad have shown interest in the player. However, a potential move by Bayern for Heuer Fernandes is not anticipated until there is clarity regarding Neuer's contract situation. Heuer Fernandes, who joined Hamburger SV in July 2019, has made 27 appearances in the Bundesliga this season. The former Portugal U21 international has a current market value of €1.20m, according to Transfermarkt.
