Bayern Munich is reportedly planning for a future without Manuel Neuer, who may be in his final season, and is looking for an experienced goalkeeper to compete with the young Jonas Urbig. Juan Musso, a 32-year-old Argentine goalkeeper from Atletico Madrid, is on a list of potential candidates that the German club is considering. Musso's contract runs until 2028. He is said to be content at Atletico despite being second choice to Jan Oblak, and is reportedly not planning to leave the club at the moment.

The list of goalkeepers also includes several other names, such as Oliver Baumann, Bernd Leno, and Nick Pope. The four-cap Argentina international joined his current club in June 2025 and has a market value of €3.00m, according to Transfermarkt. In addition to Bayern's interest, he has also been linked with Napoli and Juventus.
