Bayer Leverkusen is considering several goalkeeper candidates, including 23-year-old Danish international Filip Jørgensen, because their primary keeper, Mark Flekken, is sidelined for an extended period. Jørgensen, who is the number two at FC Chelsea, is seeking more playing time ahead of the World Cup. He has made two appearances in the Premier League this season. The club is also looking at Stefan Ortega Moreno and James Trafford.
Jørgensen is not solely focused on a move to England, unlike Trafford, who is interested in the Premier League. Jørgensen joined Chelsea in July 2024 for a reported €24.5 million and his contract runs until 2031. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €15.00m. Beşiktaş and West Ham United have also been recently linked with the goalkeeper.
