FC Barcelona has initiated contact with the representatives of RB Leipzig's Castello Lukeba to evaluate the possibility of a transfer. The 23-year-old French and Angolan centre-back is reportedly willing to seek a new club after three years in the Bundesliga, where he made 26 appearances and scored one goal in the 2025/2026 season. Arsenal is also said to be pursuing Lukeba.
Lukeba has been capped 27 times for the France U21 team and is under contract until 2029. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €50.00m. According to various reports, he has a release clause of 80 million euros, and this figure might be negotiable. RB Leipzig is reportedly willing to sell for a figure between €55 million and €70 million. His last transfer from Olympique Lyonnais in August 2023 was for a reported €30 million.
