Aston Villa is attentive to the situation of Pape Matar Sarr, a 23-year-old Senegalese central midfielder who the club has followed for some time. Other clubs are also monitoring the player, including Brentford. According to journalist Paul O Keefe, Brentford is looking for a replacement for Jordan Henderson. Sarr is reportedly open to staying in London. There has also been interest from Turkish clubs, including Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray. A total of four clubs have made preliminary inquiries, although formal negotiations have not yet begun.

Sarr is attentive to opportunities and would consider a new challenge for a convincing sporting offer. Tottenham Hotspur's coach, Roberto De Zerbi, is open to a sale if a suitable replacement is found. Sarr, who joined Tottenham in August 2021, has 42 caps and 4 goals for Senegal. He is under contract with Spurs until June 2030 and has an annual salary of €4,254,114. Transfermarkt values him at €30 million.
