Other English clubs mentioned as interested are Brighton, Leeds, Sunderland, and Wolves. Betis in Spain also has interest in the player. García was kept in the first-team squad by Xabi Alonso after his performances in the Club World Cup last summer, and at that time both the player and the club rejected offers.
