Inter Milan is one of several major clubs monitoring 19-year-old Cameroonian attacker Christian Kofane, who appears close to leaving Bayer Leverkusen. FC Barcelone, Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC, Manchester City FC, AC Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly watching the player. Arsenal is considered the current favorite to sign him. Discussions between Arsenal and the German club have progressed significantly in recent days, with a potential transfer fee that could reach nearly 127 million euros.

Kofane joined Leverkusen in July 2025 for a reported €5 million and has a contract with the club until June 2029. The forward has 6 caps and 2 goals for Cameroon and a current Transfermarkt market value of €40 million. Earlier in 2026, Bayer Leverkusen's asking price was reported to be €60-70 million after the club had rejected a €45 million offer in January.
