Clubs in Saudi Arabia, including Al Nassr and Al Hilal, are interested in signing Fenerbahçe's 32-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson. Tension has arisen concerning him, and the club is seeking his departure in the summer. This situation arose after his performances in recent matches angered both fans and the club's management. During these matches, he made an error that led to a goal against Rizespor and was sent off in the derby against Galatasaray.

Any departure could be costly, as Ederson has a contract for two more years and earns 11 million euros annually. He is allegedly demanding the full 22 million euros to terminate his contract. News from Istanbul indicates that Ederson does not want to leave for free but is instead seeking a substantial severance package. According to Transfermarkt, the Brazil international, who has 31 caps, has a current market value of €13 million. Fenerbahce signed him from Manchester City in September 2025 for a reported initial fee of €11 million.
