The management of Saudi club Al Ittihad is preparing a significant offer to sign Christian Kofane, a 19-year-old Cameroonian centre-forward. The Jeddah-based club is reportedly considering a bid estimated at 50 million euros to convince Bayer 04 Leverkusen to sell the player. Al Ittihad sees Kofane as a high-potential talent.

However, officials at the German club are said to be unwilling to approve a departure for the Cameroonian international. They consider him an important player in their project, and he has the confidence of the staff and management. Kofane's contract with Bayer Leverkusen is valid until June 30, 2029. He earns an annual salary of 660,000 euros, and his market value is estimated at 40 million euros. Kofane joined the German club in July 2025. Other top European clubs, including Arsenal, FC Bayern München and FC Barcelona, have also been linked with the player.
