English journalist Ben Jacobs reported that Ajax wants to loan Wilfred Ndidi, a 29-year-old Nigerian defensive midfielder, from Beşiktaş. Ndidi previously transferred to the Turkish club from Leicester for a fee of eight million euros. Beşiktaş rejected Ajax's initial offer and is seeking approximately two million euros for a loan until the end of the season, followed by a ten million euro fee for a permanent transfer.
Ndidi has 75 caps for Nigeria, his contract is valid until June 2028, and his current market value on Transfermarkt is €10.00m. In the current Süper Lig season, he has made 15 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist. Manchester United and Valencia have also recently been linked with the player. It was reported that in February 2025, while Ndidi was at Leicester, the club rejected a €21 million offer from AS Monaco.
