Mark Flekken, who is in principle the third goalkeeper for the Dutch national team, is facing uncertainty regarding his first-choice status at Bayer Leverkusen. The 32-year-old from Limburg was excellently replaced by Janis Blaswich during his injury, and a change in the primary goalkeeper role is considered a possibility. This situation could create the possibility of a departure for Flekken, who previously impressed at SC Freiburg.

Leverkusen acquired him from Brentford last summer for eleven million euros, so Ajax would need to buy out his contract, which is valid until mid-2028. The goalkeeper has 10 caps for the Netherlands and has made 18 appearances in the Bundesliga this season. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €8.00m.
